Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in Leh | Welcome to the Top of the World

After arrival, reach the designated hotel in Leh. Gradually get acclimatised to the climate. Later in the
evening, visit the Leh Market, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa on your own. Indulge in a lip-smacking
dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh

Day 2 | Leh Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, we’ll take you to the hot spots of Leh. You’d be awestruck by the sight of the Indus &
Zanskar River Sangam, where you could drive along the riverside and visit Pathar Sahib Gurudwara,
which is 25 miles away. From there, we would drive you towards Magnetic Hill, where the surrounding
slopes create an appearance of a downhill road, further taking you to the Hall of Fame. In the evening,
visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. On return to the hotel, you are free to relax and end the day with
dinner and stay.

Day 3 | Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardungla
(Distance: 130 km / Driving Time: 5 hrs. / Altitude of Nubra: 3048 mts.)

We will take you to Khardungla pass, the world’s highest motorable pass, and then Diskit, the
headquarters of Nubra Valley. Its attraction is that of an ancient monastery which was built in the 14th
century and is one of the oldest monasteries in Nubra Valley. Continuing from Diskit on a moderate
road and amidst fruit orchids, is the village hunder, famous for sand dunes. At Hunder, you will get to
see the extraordinary, Bactrian Camel, also known as the “Two-Humped Camel”. After a memorable
day in Nubra Valley, it’s time to relax and end your day with a tempting dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 | Nubra Valley to Turtuk Village | Last Village of India
After a delicious breakfast, drive towards Turtuk. Turtuk is the last outpost in India after which the
Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-Baltistan begins and is one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier. The place
is culturally, linguistically, and historically different from what you’ve seen till now in your Ladakh
holiday as it falls under the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Even the landscape is different with dramatic narrow
valleys and steep mountains, unlike Central Ladakh and Nubra. Comparatively, situated at a lower
altitude than Leh, you’ll see green pastures here that yield fresh produce like apricots and apples.
Overnight stay at the campsite in Nubra Valley

Day 5 | Nubra Valley - Pangong Tso
(Distance: 180 kms. / Driving Time: 6 hrs. / Altitude of Pangong: 4250 mts.)

After an early breakfast, you will leave for Pangong, which has been a tourist attraction for a very long
time and has gained further popularity after being a “hot spot” for many film shoots. “The Pangong
Lake” on the Indo-China Border, holds a route with quaint villages and Gompa. We would reach the
lake a little before the sun sets, where you could spend time and soak in the breathtaking view of the
crystal clear water and majestic mountains. After a relaxing evening, we would all sit for dinner and
spend the night at the campsite at Pangong.

Day 6 | Pangong Tso - Hanle via Rezang La
(Distance: 240 kms. / Driving Time: 6 hrs. / Altitude of Hanle: 4300 mts.)

After breakfast, we start our journey to the remote location of Hanle that inhabits a mere 200 families.
The village has recently been opened for tourists and travellers. For the first 30 Kms, we would go along
the blue waters of the Pangong Tso. The journey is a heaven for an adventure junkie that would take us
through Maan, Merak, and Chushul. We will be crossing the Rezang-La, 1962 Indo-China War
Memorial to pay homage to the Martyrs and continue our ride. We will also see the world's second
largest observatory. The night sky view in Hanle seems almost unreal as one can see the Galaxy with
naked eyes. We sum up the day after a hearty meal and retreat in the cozy homestay

Day 7 | Hanle – Leh
(Distance: 220 kms. / Driving Time: 7-8 hrs. / Altitude of Leh : 3524 mts.)

After breakfast, check-out and drive back to Leh. Enroute, visit Shey and Thiksey Monastery. As you
reach Leh, wander around the beauty that Leh exhibits. The last night would be completed with dinner
and an overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
