Itinerary

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1 - Guwahati to Dirang:

Once upon a time, in the northeastern part of India, a traveler embarked on an exciting journey through Assam and Meghalaya. The adventure began with a flight to Guwahati, the gateway to the Northeast.

Morning: Arrive in Guwahati.

Explore the Kamakhya Temple, a sacred place perched atop Nilachal Hill.

Enjoy lunch at a local Assamese restaurant.

Afternoon: Depart for Dirang, a picturesque town in Arunachal Pradesh.

Drive through scenic landscapes and cross the Brahmaputra River.

Arrive in Dirang and check into your hotel, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Eastern Himalayas.


Day 2 - Dirang to Tawang:

Morning: After breakfast, start your journey towards Tawang.

Visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial en route, a tribute to the brave soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China War.

Afternoon: Continue your drive through the dramatic Sela Pass, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

Arrive in Tawang, one of the most beautiful destinations in the Northeast.

Check-in at your hotel and unwind.
 

Day 3 - Tawang Local Sightseeing:

Morning: Explore the Tawang Monastery, the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in India.

Witness the stunning 8-meter-high gilded statue of Buddha.
 

Afternoon : Visit the Tawang War Memorial to pay homage to the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1962 war.

Explore the beautiful Pankang Teng Tso Lake for serene moments amidst nature.
 

Day 4 - Tawang Local Sightseeing (Bumla Pass):

Morning: Embark on an adventurous day trip to Bumla Pass, located at an altitude of 15,200 feet.

Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and the opportunity to visit the Indo-China border.

Afternoon: Return to Tawang and relax at your hotel.

Explore the local markets and try some traditional Tibetan cuisine.
 

Day 5 - Tawang to Dirang:

Morning : Check-out from your Tawang hotel.

Begin the journey back to Dirang.

Afternoon: En route, visit the beautiful Nuranang Falls, also known as the Jang Falls.

Arrive in Dirang and check into your hotel.
 

Day 6 - Dirang to Kaziranga:

Morning: Check-out from Dirang and head towards Kaziranga National Park.

Arrive in Kaziranga and check into your wildlife lodge.

Afternoon: Explore the lush landscapes of Kaziranga.

Go for a jeep safari to spot the famous one-horned rhinoceros.
 

Day 7 - Kaziranga to Shillong: 
Morning: Enjoy one more safari at Kaziranga.

Depart for Shillong, the "Scotland of the East."

Arrive in Shillong and check into your hotel.
 

Day 8 - Shillong and Cherrapunjee:

Morning: Explore Shillong, visiting attractions like the Shillong Peak, Don Bosco Museum, and Ward's Lake.

Afternoon :

Drive to Cherrapunjee, known as the "Wettest Place on Earth."

Visit the Nohkalikai Falls and the Mawsmai Caves.
 

Day 9 - Cherrapunjee Local Sightseeing:

Morning: Explore more of Cherrapunjee, including the Double Decker Living Root Bridges and the Seven Sisters Falls.

Afternoon: Visit the Eco Park for panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.

Day 10 - Cherrapunjee to Guwahati Drop:
Morning:Begin the journey back to Guwahati.

Afternoon : En route, stop at the Kamakhya Temple for some final blessings.

Arrive in Guwahati for your onward journey or flight back home, carrying with you the memories of a wonderful adventure in the Northeastern paradise.
