Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati to Kaziranga
 Depart from Guwahati early in the morning.  Travel to Kaziranga National Park (Approx. 5-6 hours drive).  Check into your accommodation upon arrival.  Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the next day's adventure.

Day 2: Kaziranga to Shillong
 Start early in the morning after breakfast.  Visit Kaziranga National Park for a safari to explore the rich wildlife including the famous one-horned
rhinoceros (Optional activity, requires prior booking).  After the safari, drive to Shillong (Approx. 6-7 hours drive).  En route, you can stop at picturesque locations for refreshments and photo opportunities.  Check into your hotel upon arrival in Shillong.  Spend the evening exploring the local markets and trying out local cuisine.

Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunji
 After breakfast, depart for Cherrapunji (Approx. 2-3 hours drive).  Visit Arwah Cave and explore its fascinating rock formations.  Proceed to Elephant Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in the region.  Visit the Sacred Forest, a dense forest area with unique sacred groves.  Explore Lyngngiar Waterfalls and Wei Sawdong Falls, both known for their scenic beauty.  Return to Cherrapunji town for overnight stay.

Day 4: Cherrapunji Exploration and Double Decker Living Root Bridge
 After breakfast, delve deeper into the wonders of Cherrapunji with a focus on exploring the iconic
Double Decker Living Root Bridge.  Begin your day by departing for the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, located amidst the lush
greenery of Cherrapunji. The journey may take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on the specific
location and road conditions.  Upon arrival, embark on a trek through the verdant forests to reach the Double Decker Living Root
Bridge. The trek offers an immersive experience amidst nature, with glimpses of exotic flora and fauna
along the way. The trek duration can vary, typically lasting around 1-2 hours, depending on the starting
point and hiking pace.  Marvel at the awe-inspiring sight of the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a remarkable example of
bioengineering by indigenous Khasi tribes. Take your time to appreciate the intricate network of living
roots that form this unique natural bridge, which stands as a testament to human ingenuity and
harmonious coexistence with nature.  Enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch amidst the tranquil surroundings of the Double Decker Living Root
Bridge, soaking in the serene ambiance and rejuvenating your senses.  After exploring the Double Decker Living Root Bridge to your heart's content, you may choose to
further explore the surrounding area, discovering hidden gems of Cherrapunji's natural beauty.  Return to Cherrapunji town in the evening for an overnight stay, reflecting on the unforgettable
experiences and memories created during your exploration of this enchanting region.

Day 5: Cherrapunji to Dawki
 After breakfast, depart for Dawki (Approx. 2-3 hours drive).  Visit Mawlynnong Village, known as the cleanest village in Asia.  Explore Nohkalikai Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in India.  Visit Seven Sister Falls and the Single Decker Living Root Bridge.  Explore Mawsmai Cave, known for its limestone formations.  Visit the Garden of Caves, a unique botanical garden with cave formations.  Drive to Dawki and check into your accommodation.  Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the scenic beauty of Dawki.

Day 6: Dawki to Shillong
 After breakfast, depart for Shillong (Approx. 2-3 hours drive).  Visit Laitlum Grand Canyon for breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.  Explore Krang Suri Waterfalls, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters.  Return to Shillong by evening.  Spend the rest of the day exploring Shillong at your own pace.  You can visit local attractions or indulge in shopping for souvenirs.  Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 7: Shillong toGuwahti
 After breakfast, depart for Guwahati (Approx. 3-4 hours drive).  En route, you can visit the Kamakhya Temple, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site.  Upon reaching Guwahati, you can visit the Assam State Museum or take a boat cruise on the
Brahmaputra River (depending on time availability).  Explore the local markets for some last-minute shopping.  Transfer to the airport/railway station for your onward journey or stay overnight in Guwahati as per your
travel plans.

Day8 : Guwahati to Departure
 On the final day of your Meghalaya and Kaziranga adventure, you'll depart from Guwahati. Here's a
detailed itinerary for your day:
 Early Morning Check-out: Begin your day by checking out from your accommodation in Guwahati. Ensure that you have packed all your belongings and completed any necessary check-out procedures.  Breakfast: Before starting your journey, enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel or any nearby restaurant. Fuel up for the day ahead as you bid farewell to the beautiful Northeast region.  Transfer to Guwahati: Depending on your mode of transportation, arrange for a taxi, private transfer, or
utilize public transport to reach Guwahati. The journey from your accommodation to the airport or
railway station may take around 30 minutes to 1 hour, considering traffic conditions.
