Kedarnath Dham Yatra

Kedarnath is a holy Hindu town located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand in India. It is one of the Char Dhams located in the Himalayas. Kedarnath is situated at an astonishing height of 3584 meters above sea level near the head of Mandakini River. 

The Kedarnath temple lies amidst the majestic snow-capped Garhwal Himalayan ranges and is thronged by thousands of tourists each year.

Itinerary

Brief Itinerary:
Day 1: Haridwar - Guptkashi  (250 kms/8  Hrs)
Day 2: Guptkashi - Kedarnath (19 kms Trek/6 Hrs)
Day 3: Kedarnath - Guptkashi 
Day 4: Guptkashi Sitapur - Haridwar (330 kms / 8 Hrs)

 

DAY 1: Haridwar - Guptkashi (250 KMS/8 HrS)
Welcome to Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar Railway station, you are greeted and assisted by our representative and drive to Sitapur / Guptkashi. On the way see the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda in Devprayag. on arrival Registration for visiting Kedarnath, overnight stay at Hotel.

 

DAY 2: Guptkashi - Kedarnath (19 kms Trek/6 Hrs)
Early morning drive to Gaurikund and Start Trekking or by /doli/pony (at your own cost). Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woollen and clothes. Reach Kedarnath and ch-in to the Guest house and evening darshan of Kedarnath Temple and Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. According to legends, Pandavas aGer having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war felt guilty about having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull, on being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhmaheshwar and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.
 

DAY 3: Kedarnath - Guptkashi
After performing Pooja & Darshan of Shri Kedarnath ji return to Sitapur. Overnight stay at Hotel.

 

DAY 4: Guptkashi Sitapur - Haridwar (330 kms / 8 Hrs)
Morning drive back to Dehradun. On arrival at Rishikesh visit Shivanand Ashram, Ram Jhoola, Laxman Jhoola, Gita Bhavan, and Pramarth Niketan, later depart to Dehradun, Here tour ends with happy memories as you drop to the Dehradun Railway station for journey to onward destination
