This tour takes pilgrims on the sacred Chardham Yatra, covering the four important Hindu pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Starting from Haridwar, the journey includes trekking to Yamunotri and Kedarnath, and visits to revered temples like Vishwanath Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple. The itinerary also includes stops at significant landmarks like Prakateshwar Cave, Devprayag, and scenic spots along the way. It offers a spiritual and picturesque experience in the lap of the Himalayas.

  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot)

Itinerary

DAY 01: HARIDWAR - BARKOT (215 KMS. 07 HRS)

  • Upon arrival at Haridwar/Dehradun Railway Station. Meet and drive to Barkot.
  • Later, continue to drive to Barkot. 
  • Upon arrival in Barkot, check-in at the hotel. 
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • Barkot is an ideal destination for pilgrims visiting Shri Yamunotri. It is situated 45 kilometers before the Yamunotri temple, offering panoramic views of the Bandarpunch Peaks.

DAY 02: BARKOT - YAMUNOTRI - BARKOT (42 KMS DRIVE / 06 KMS TREK)

  • Early morning after breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti and start trekking to Yamunotri (6 km). You have an option to either walk or hire Pony or by Doli at your own cost.
  • After taking a bath in Surya Kund (hot spring) visit Yamunotri temple "Darshan" and Pooja of pious "Yamunaji" at Divya Shila. Return for an overnight stay at Barkot.

DAY 03: BARKOT - UTTARKASHI (DRIVE 82 KMS, 04 HRS)

  • In the morning, depart for Uttarkashi, a drive of 82 kilometers. En route, visit the Prakateshwar Cave. 
  • Upon arrival in Uttarkashi, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, visit the Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 04: UTTARKASHI - GANGOTRI – UTTARKASHI (100 KMS. PER WAY)

  • After breakfast, we proceed to Gangotri, en route enjoying the picturesque Harsil Valley, Bhagirathi River, and the magnificent view of the Himalayas. Upon reaching the temple, we perform darshan and pooja. Thereafter, we get back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
  • Gangotri - According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Ganga, the daughter of Lord Brahma, manifested herself as a river to cleanse the sins of King Bhagirath's ancestors, following his intense penance over several centuries. Lord Shiva caught her in his tangled locks to minimize the impact of her fall. She came to be known as Bhagirathi at her source. Along the right bank of Bhagirathi stands the sanctum of Gangotri, dedicated to the Goddess. Perched at a height of 3042 meters (10,000 ft), it was constructed in the mid-18th century by a Gorkha Commander, Amar Singh Thapa.

DAY 05: UTTARKASHI – PHATA/GUPTKASHI (223 KMS. DRIVE 09 - 10 HRS)

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 06: PHATA /GUPTAKASHI – SONPRAYAG - KEDARNATH (27 KMS. DRIVE, 19 KMS. TREK)

  • In the morning, drive to Sonprayag via Guptkashi. 
  • Upon arrival, begin the trek to Kedarnath via Gaurikund, Bheem Bali, and Garuechati.
  • Upon reaching Kedarnath, perform Pooja and Darshan. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

DAY 07: KEDARNATH  - PHATA /GUPTAKASHI (19 KMS. TREK DOWN)

  • Early morning Pooja and darshan at the Kedarnath Temple. 
  • Then, trek down to Sonprayag and proceed to Guptkashi/Phata. 
  • Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel again for an overnight stay.

DAY 08: PHATA /GUPTAKASHI - JOSHIMATH (230 KMS 09 HRS.)

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Joshimath.
  • Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and stay for the night.

DAY 09: JOSHIMATH – BADRINATH - JOSHIMATH / PIPALKOTI (80 KMS 04 HRS.)

  • In the morning, visit the temple after taking a holy dip in Tapt Kund. 
  • Proceed through the colorful entrance of the temple to have the darshan of Badrivishal along with Ganesh, Kubera, Garuda, Narada, Udhhav, Nar, and Narayan. 
  • Inside the temple compound, there are small temples such as Laxmi Mata, Nara Narayana, Hanuman, Ghantakarna, and Kamdhenu. One can obtain 'Charnamirt' (Abhishekam Jal) within the compound. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddam Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus), where one can perform rites. Later, a visit to Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul, Saraswati river, etc. 
  • In the evening, transfer to Joshimath/Pipalkoti for an overnight stay.

DAY 10: PIPALKOTI / JOSHIMATH - HARIDWAR (220 KMS 6 HRS)

  • In the morning, drive to Haridwar.
  • En route, visit the Confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda River, which is called Devprayag. 
  • The tour ends here with happy memories to be cherished forever.
