Itinerary

Day 1 : Leh

 

Arrival at Leh Airport, transfer to the Hotel. Rest for the entire day in order to acclimatize.

Day 2 : Drive to Sham Valley

 

After breakfast, drive to Sham Valley. Here you'll be awestruck by the sight of the massive Buddha statues, Indus & Zanskar River Sangam, drive along the Indus river visiting Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill, Basgo Palace Hiking only and further on to Leh Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia) Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 3 : Leh - Nubra Valley

 

After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and leave for Nubra. This will be a beautiful 5-6 hour drive where you will cross the Khardung La which is the highest motorable road in the world. On the way, you can visit the Diskit Monastery. On reaching Nubra, transfer to the campsite in the cold desert.Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 4 : Nubra Valley - Pangong

 

Today we will be taking one of the most uncommon routes in Ladakh area via Shyok village which has recently opened recently for the tourists. You will enjoy the scenic views of the mountains while driving along this trail. This route is also known for the enchanting waterfalls.

 

Day 5 : Pangong - Tsomoriri

 

After breakfast, drive to Tso Moriri through Chumathang (hot springs), Mahe and Puga Sumdo. Tsomoriri is the breeding ground for many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese. Dinner & overnight at a campsite.

Day 6 : Tsomoriri- Leh

 

After breakfast retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and supports many rare wildlife species. After sightseeing of the area take the Manali-Leh road to return to Leh, crossing Taglang-la en-route. Arrive hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight.

 

 

Day 7 : Departure

 

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for the airport.
