Overview

Sikkim is a very attractive hilly area, which always attracts tourists with its amazing views. Sikkim is also world famous for Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest peak. In this state, nature has spent a lot of time in the state; tourists can see beautiful hills, lakes, etc here.

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhistpilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.

Itinerary

 Day 1 : BAGDOGRA AIRPORT /NEW JALPAIGURI RLY STATION – GANGTOK

On arrival at Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly. Station you will be received by our representative, who will be waiting for a warm welcome just outside of the airport (customs area)/ Rly. Station by your nameplate /your referral and proceed for Gangtok (5500ft. /124 km. /4 hours), the capital city of the Indian state of Sikkim (Sikkim is the 23rd.state of India). Sikkim is one the most beautiful states in India located in Eastern Himalaya and surrounded by High Mountain and deep valleys in between Tibet in the north, Royal Bhutan in the East and Nepal in West. Overnight stay and dinner  at Gangtok

 

Day 2 : TSOMGO LAKE BABA MANDIR

After Breakfast. Drive to a memorable excursion tour via Third Mile to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. /39 km), this is one of the highest altitudes of Himalayan Lake. Most beautiful, this oval-shaped lake is almost 1 km long with its average depth 50 ft and situated in east Sikkim Himalaya. Also, witness Asia’s highest rope-way at Tsomgo lake and hold your breath at the sight of the scenic view from the highest altitude. Again drive up for Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13,000 ft/15 km/30 minute). Back to Gangtok and evening,free for leisure. Overnight stay and dinner at Gangtok

 

Day 3 : GANGTOK TO PELLING via Namchi Chardham and Ravangla

After breakfast, proceed for Pelling (7210 ft. / 141 Kms / 6 hours). It is a small town in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga.Overnight stay and dinner at Pelling.

 

Day4: PELLING  TO DARJEELING (80km)

After a hearty breakfast in the morning indulge in an immersive tour of Pelling. Visit Rimbi falls and Kanchenjunga falls to witness the beauty of flowing water then Head to the sacred Khecheopalri Lake from (Darap Valley) which is also known as the wish fulfilling lake and also stroll around the lake. Then Move to Darjeeling, Reach Darjeeling and check-in to the hotel, where you will have the evening free to spend on your leisure and Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.

 

Day 5: DARJEELING LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

After Breakfast visit Batasia Loop ,which is a war memorial. proceed for Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing rock, Tibetan refugee self- help centre (closed on Sunday), happy valley tea garden, Japanese temple & Peace pagoda and back to hotel, evening free to join in a delighted cultural evening at Darjeeling Night angle Park, where the different traditional folk dance present by local people, overnight halt at Darjeeling.

 

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast this morning, you will be checking out and leaving for the airport. Move on with your return journey and bring the experience to an end.
