The Deoriatal Chopta trek takes us to one of the most breathtakingly beautiful part of the Garhwal Himalayas. We start from Haridwar and pass through Deoria Tal, Chopta and Tungnath to reach the summit of Chandrashila for a great view of the Indian Himalayas. Maximum altitude reached on the Chopta Tungnath 12,073 ft trek would be around 4000m at the summit of Chandrashila. This region is a protected sanctuary for musk deer and is rich in flora and fauna. Tungnath is famous for being the highest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. On top of Chandrashila, we will be able to see Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Nandadevi and Trishul peaks.

Day 01: Haridwar – Chopta (210 km)
Early morning, our team meets you at Haridwar Railway Station. Today’s journey starts with a drive to Chopta which is around 210 km and takes around 8 – 9 hours. After reaching Chopta, we set our camps for an overnight stay and prepare for hi-tea. Chopta (2900m) is known as ‘Mini Switzerland’ of the Garhwal Himalayas, it is situated amidst the thick forest of Pine, Deodar and Rhododendrons.
Day 02 : Chopta – Tungnath / Chandarshilla - Chopta
Today is the trek day, after a good hefty breakfast, we leave for Tugnath (3680m). Tungnath is the world’s highest Shiv temple. From Tungnath we climb to the Summit of Chandrashila*(3950m). At Chandrashila we get a spectacular view of Nandadevi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Chaukhamba, Bandarpunch. Packed lunch will be provided. We descend back to Chopta, our camping site. Overnight stay in camps.
Day 03: Chopta – Sari Village - Deoriatal
After a good session of morning exercise followed by breakfast at Chopta, we drive to Sari Village, which takes around 2 hours. After reaching Sari village, we begin our trek to Deoriatal. Deoriatal is at an elevation of 2400m, which takes around 2-3 hours. The name of the lake originates from its crescent shape. We pass through forests as we trek uphill to reach our destination. Deoria Tal is a beautiful lake which gives a 300-degree panoramic view of great peaks like Chaukhamba, Nilkantha, Bandarpunch, Yellow Tooth, Kedar Range, Kalanag, etc. Overnight camp at Deoria Tal.
Day 04: Deoriatal – Sari Village - Haridwar
Starting early today, we drive to Haridwar via Sari Village. Our trip ends at Haridwar Railway station. Our trek ends here #HappyTrekking
