What is included in the tour

What is NOT included in the tour

Exclusions:
 

·   Airfare/Train fare 

·   Entrance Fees.

·   Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).

·   Anything which is not included in the inclusion.

·   Gala Dinner expenses on Christmas/New Year’s Eve. 

·   Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure.

·   GST 5% 

Itinerary

4th March: NJP – Phuentsholing

(Distance: 170 kms. / Driving Time: 5 hrs. / Altitude of Phuentsholing: 293 mts.)

After the arrival at NJP, you will be transferred to Phuentsholing - The Gateway of Bhutan by road from India. It is a thriving commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. Stopover in midway for lunch. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.


 

Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu

(Distance: 176 kms. / Driving Time: 6 hrs. / Altitude of Thimphu: 2350 mts.) 

After breakfast, leave early for the permit office around 9 am to complete the immigration formalities followed by transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) - the capital city of Bhutan.On the way, stop for lunch and some viewpoints.On arrival check in at the hotel.Rest of the day at leisure. You can roam around the Thimphu market.Overnight stay at Thimphu.


 

Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Buddha Dordemma; a 51m tall statue of Buddha overlooking the Thimphu city.Next we visit the National Chorten, a stupa in Thimphu  followed by Simply Bhutan. Here you can delve in the Bhutani Culture wearing their traditional dresses, enjoying the traditional Bhutani dance or even practice archery.  Later, visit the Folk Heritage Museum (an old farmhouse showing the rural life of Bhutanese) for a traditional Bhutani lunch of Ema Datsi or Kew Datsi.After lunch we head to Takin Reservation Centre, where you will find the national animal of Bhutan.Overnight stay at Thimphu.

 

Day 04: Thimphu – Punakha/Wangdue Sightseeing

(Distance: 77 kms. / Driving Time: 3 hrs. / Altitude of Punakha: 1310 mts.) 

After breakfast, we leave to permit office to get the permits for Punakha made. On the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts.) to view the higher Himalayas.After reaching Punakha, we visit the The Punakha Dzong which was named after Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Afterwards visit the suspension bridge followed by local lunch. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at Punakha / Wangdue.

 

Day 05: Punakha/Wangdue – Paro Sightseeing

(Distance: 140 kms. / Driving Time: 5 hrs. / Altitude of Paro: 2280 mts.)

 After breakfast drive to Paro (7,483 ft.) On the way stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park - The park contains a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna and features a huge species of plants and animals including endangered species. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Paro Local market by walking to enjoy your evening in leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.

 

Day 06:  Hike to Takstang Monastery 

After breakfast, get prepped for one of the best and trecherous  hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery - called “Tiger's Nest” (5hrs hike to and fro the base camp). If time allows, you can visit the Paro National Museum or Kitchu Monastery or maybe just endeavour a rejeuvenating hot stone bath.Overnight stay will be at Paro.

 

Day 07: Paro - Siliguri 

(Distance: 300 kms. / Driving Time: 8 hrs ) 

After breakfast check out of your hotel early around 7 to proceed for the departure journey. Stopover at Phuentsholing for lunch that will be your last Bhutani experience too. Later,  travel back to Siliguri for your onward journey. Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.


 

Day 08: Departure 

After breakfast check out of your hotel and leave for  IXB airport for your onward journey. As you go home let the everlasting memory of the radiant Himalayas and this beautiful serene kingdom linger in your mind and prompt you now and again to revisit this place.
